The distribution sector is full or promise in Tunisia. The
                 gradual lifting of tariff barriers affords it new prospects for growth.
              Keeping abreast of the trends of its economic environment, the
           HAMROUNI Group decided in 1992 to incorporate COTUMEX, an
        international trading company specialized in the export-import of industrial
      and farm products. COTUMEX acts as a central purchasing agency for all      HAMROUNI Group affiliates. At the same time, it packages and distributes bulk    commodities bought on the world market.

  At present, COTUMEX is in the process of grwth. It already has its own premises   (6090 sq.m.) on the Rades Harbour. Four large tanks with a total capacity of 2000    cubic meters have been constructed on this site. Following an increase in its     capital, COTUMEX should be able to expand into foreign markets. With the aim of       building up exports by the HAMROUNI Group and giving them a new impulse,        COTUMEX is planning to open a number of representative offices abroad.
