Incorporated in 1932, les Comptoirs Sfaxiens is one of the
                oldest trading firms in building materials. When it became part of
             the HAMROUNI Group in 1989 under the privatisation scheme for state
          owned companies, les Comptoirs Sfaxiens expanded into the wholesale         business for wood, sanitary ware and building materials. The earnestness and       cohesion of a team of 150 employees turned les Comptoirs Sfaxiens into an     expanding firm which has succeeded in raising its share of the wood trading market    to 35 per cent.

 A central warehouse at Ezzahra, two warehouses at Sfax, and further warehouses at   Kerkennah, Nabeul, sousse and tozeur allow les Comptoirs Sfaxiens to ensure proper   coverage of country's major industrial and trading centers. The firm's references are    numerous. They include government ministries, building and utility contractors, as     well as a large number of retailers and craftsman. With its perennial concern for       the uncreasing improvement of the services provided by its affiliates, the         HAMROUNI Group set up les Comptoirs Sfaxiens Distribution, a    
          wholly-owned subsidiary of Les Comptoirs sfaxiens. This new firm
            should enable us to get still closer to our customer-base,
              particulary the craftsmen and direct consumers.
